P229 LEGION COMPACT
P229 LEGION COMPACT 9mm handgun, p229 legion compact SAO, semi-auto pistol. The P226 is a top-selling firearm and easy to find due to the number of guns produced. It’s a well-made gun that you can rely on for accurate shooting and easy cleaning. It’s a little big for concealed carry but just right for a full-size pistol.
The Legion P229 is finished in a Cerakote® Elite Legion gray coating, custom G-10 grips with a Legion medallion, the new SIG SAUER Electro-Optics X-RAY high visibility day/night sights and will ship with three magazines. The P229 in DA/SA includes a reduced and contoured Elite beavertail,
which allows for a higher grip, but a reduced profile, thus eliminating printing. More aggressive front strap checkering and additional checkering under the trigger guard enhance the grip. An X-Five undercut has been applied to the trigger guard, allowing for a higher grip and greater control.
Front cocking serrations provide greater purchases for cycling the action, clearing the firearm, or conducting press checks. The pistol is available in 9 mm and also features low-profile decocking and slide catch levers to reduce the risk of snagging. An enhanced polished action with the SRT (Short-Reset Trigger) is augmented with a Grayguns, Inc. designed P-SAIT trigger. In addition, a solid steel guide rod adds weight where it matters most.

The P226 model is the best
Yes, the SIG P226 Legion COMPACT is superior to the standard SIG P226 Nitron. The Grayguns P-SAIT trigger alone would make it worth the extra expense but it does have other features to recommend it. The G10 grips are a vast improvement as are the X-RAY3 Day/Night Sights.
What makes SIG SAUER p226 Legion COMPACT special
Each pistol comes with Legion-specific upgrades, including a reduced and contoured beavertail, adjustable trigger, and SIG’s own electro-optics X-RAY high-visibility day/night sights. The true Legion experience begins, however, once a user registers the handgun.

Pleased with the purchase but would like to see a path for onboarding. This was a great experience. Sure, would have saved me some money and trouble if I had had been asked if I had a tax number and FFL. No major complaint but for newbies it is a bit difficult to discover all that is needed to participate. I felt that there should have been an allowance to make corrections.

The credit card fee makes no sense The credit card fee, which apparently applies to debit cards too, makes no sense. Buyers should be able to use debit cards with no or a very low fee. It is misleading to say 3{94eb2d3960f9331e78146d8189fec80cbb6537b0b3724f56ec9508a79a481711} fee for credit cards purchases and have that apply to debit too. They are not the same, and it was a bait & switch, as far as I’m concerned. Also, the language regarding “cash discount price” is misleading. There is no way to purchase using cash, therefore there should be no discussion of cash prices on listings. I assumed “cash price” meant debit. Otherwise, very positive experience.
